La Fondazione Berardelli è lieta di annunciare la nuova mostra dedicata a due artisti che, nel corso della loro lunga e riconosciuta carriera, hanno affrontato il rapporto tra parola e immagine:
Gino Gini e Fernanda Fedi.
Nel solco della tradizione iniziata da Paolo Berardelli, la Fondazione propone un’antologia delle opere donate dai due grandi artisti dalla fine degli anni ‘70 ad oggi. Il percorso di visita, dopo una sala che introduce alle opere recenti di entrambi gli artisti, si biforca in due percorsi cronologici e ordinati che corrono paralleli.
Fernanda Fedi negli anni ’70 conduce ricerche approfondite e significative in ambito strutturale ma già verso la fine della decade vira verso studi concettuali, ben rappresentati dalle opere generosamente donate alla Fondazione, indagando il tema dell’assenza e dello spazio. Dagli anni’ 80 si dedica all’intreccio tra parola, scrittura asemica, suono, musica e poesia. In quegli stessi anni, inizia a dipingere, incidere, scolpire i suoi segni illeggibili. È periodo dell’Ecriture Plastique, ovvero degli studi sui segni ispirati alle lingue antiche, soprattutto quelle mai decifrate.
Gino Gini partecipa alla Poesia Visiva ed è ritenuto tra i principali protagonisti del rinnovamento di questa poetica. Il suo lavoro si distingue per un rapporto intenso tra Parola-Immagine-Scrittura. Le sue ricerche operative principali: The Mythical Image; Viaggio in Italia; Prove e progetti di volo; Alfabeti; Scritture del quotidiano non trovano riscontro solamente sul terreno della pittura ma anche nel libro d’artista e nella Mail Art, inseparabili strumenti di lavoro di una vita. Negli ultimi anni si interessa in particolare al calendario di cui si appropria ed eleva a terreno di ricerca.
La mostra, a cura di Maddalena Carnaghi, vuole altresì ricordare l’alta figura di Paolo Berardelli che ha dato vita a questa Fondazione con grande coraggio, partecipazione e dedizione.
The Berardelli Foundation is pleased to announce the new exhibition dedicated to two artists who, in throughout their long and recognized career, they have addressed the relationship between word and image:
Gino Gini and Fernanda Fedi.
In the wake of the tradition started by Paolo Berardelli, the Foundation proposes an anthology of works donated by the two great artists from the end of the 70s to today. The visit route, after one room which introduces the recent works of both artists, bifurcates into two chronological paths and orders that run parallel.
Fernanda Fedi conducted in-depth and significant research in the structural field in the 1970s
already towards the end of the decade he turns towards conceptual studies, well represented by his works generously donated to the Foundation, investigating the theme of absence and space. From the years 80 is dedicated to the intertwining of words, asemic writing, sound, music and poetry. In those same ones years old, he began to paint, engrave and sculpt his illegible signs. It’s the Ecriture Plastique period, that is, studies on signs inspired by ancient languages, especially those that have never been deciphered.
Gino Gini participates in Visual Poetry and is considered among the main protagonists of the renewal of this poetics. His work stands out for an intense relationship between Word-Image-Writing. His main operational research: The Mythical Image; travel to Italy; Flight tests and projects; Alphabets; Everyday writings are not only reflected in the field of painting but also
in the artist’s book and in Mail Art, inseparable working tools of a lifetime.
In recent years he is particularly interested in the calendar which he appropriates and elevates to a field of research.
The exhibition, curated by Maddalena Carnaghi, also wants to remember the great figure of Paolo Berardelli who gave life to this Foundation with great courage, participation and dedication.
